Welcome on my sui... errm site
Hi, I'm Brandon Jones
Quite often I see men wearing the wrong suits, considering the situation. That's one of the reasons I made this (small but hopefully useful) website. I would like to provide fellow men some handy tips when to wear which kind of suit. See you at the parties, boys :) !!!
When to wear a Two-Button Suit
The two button single breasted suit is a timeless look. Though previously considered more conservative, designers are creating more contemporary styles of two-button suit jackets these days. Even with new fashion developments, the two button suit never goes out of style and can be worn for many different types of occasions.
When selecting a suit, it is important to consider your body type. Men who are average to short in height (5 foot 10 inches or less) or who simply have shorter torsos, tend to look better in a two button jacket. With the top button closing lower on the chest, the V formed by the lapels is deeper than that on a closed three button jacket. This will give the appearance of an elongated body as well as making the shoulders appear broader. That said, however, the two button suit is versatile enough to compliment any build. A man of above average height can benefit from the lengthening properties of a two button jacket making him appear more imposing. It is also important to consider the placement of the two buttons on the suit jacket as it can make or break the style. Suits that have buttons positioned higher up can look trendier and may even be more flattering.
An all occasion suit, it is an excellent choice for a casual look. Topping a pair of designer denim jeans and a t-shirt with a 2 button jacket can create a sharp, yet casual ensemble. Replacing the t-shirt with a fitted button down dress shirt or polo shirt can add a little bit of class, appropriate for business casual occasions. As formal business attire or worn at a formal event, the two button suit is always appropriate. A simple two piece suit and tie for the office or a three piece suit with vest beneath the single breasted two buttoned jacket is perfect for a wedding.
With the increasing popularity of the two button suit jacket, it dominates the market as the jacket of choice. Even when purchasing an inexpensive ready-made suit, you should have little trouble finding a two button suit that is both attractive and stylish. Because of the trickier fit of a three button suit, which tends to be less forgiving to the wearer, it can be more difficult to find a well-fitting suit secondhand in a consignment shop or thrift store. However, it is not at all uncommon to be able to find a great bargain on a more versatile two button suit. Additionally, two button blazers, because they tend to be worn with casual fashions, often come in a wide range of colors and patterns, whereas the three button jackets tend toward more traditional colors in mostly black or navy.
It is important to remember that wearing a suit jacket, regardless of the number of buttons, never to close the bottom button. Begun as a simple fashion trend, suits today are still tailored with this in mind and buttoning the last button ruins the suit wearer's silhouette.
